  • Strain the puree.
  • Take 1/2 tbsp agar agar powder in a bowl and add 2 tbsp hot water to it.

  • Once cooled add it to the strained strawberry puree.
  • Take a Cupcake/Muffin tray and place a kitchen towel on it.

  • Whisk well and pour it in a tilted glass so that half side of the glass is covered with strawberry puree.(watch video for more clarity)
  • Place in the refrigerator for 3-4 hours or until set.
  • Now heat milk, heavy cream and sugar in a pan.
  • Make sure not to boil the mixture.
  • Once hot add the agar agar powder and whisk well to avoid lumps.
  • Cook till the mixture thickens.
  • Now add the vanilla extract and mix.
  • Let it cool.
  • Once the strawberry puree is set pour the milk mixture to the remaining half side and set in the refrigerator for 3-4 hours or until set.

Notes:
  • You can even layer the strawberry puree and white cream can be done differently by pouring each part horizontally.
  • Panna Cotta can also be prepared by mixing the milk cream and strawberry puree.
  • In this recipe I have used Agar Agar powder which is a vegetarian alternative to Gelatin. It is easily available in grocery stores.
