Instant Coconut Barfi

Ingredients:

  • 150 grams desiccated coconut
  • 250 sweet condensed milk
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • Few drops of yellow food color (optional)
  • Dry fruits of your choice (optional)

Method:

  • Grease a square dish or pan. (you can also use parchment paper)
  • Heat a non stick pan at low flame and add the desiccated coconut to it.
  • Stir it till the coconut gets little warm.
  • Mix the yellow food color in the condensed milk.
  • Now add the colored condensed milk to the coconut and add the cardamom powder.
  • Combine everything well by stirring it continuously till it forms a lump (approx 5-6 minutes). 
  • Turn off the flame.
  • Spread the mixture evenly onto the greased dish.
  • Garnish with chopped almonds and desiccated coconut. Pat the dry fruits into the barfi using a spatula.

  • Let it cool and set for few hours.
  • Cut into squares and your instant coconut barfi is ready.
