Vinegar Onion | Sirka Pyaz

Ingredients:

  • 7-8 Pearl Onions (200 Grams)
  • 1/2 Beetroot (Diced)
  • 1/2 Cup Boiling Water
  • 1/2 Cup Vinegar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 2 Green Chilies

Method:

  • Take Pearl Onions and slit them half way through from their top center.
  • Now, in a bowl add diced beetroots and add boiling water, salt and sugar to it.
  • Let the mixture sit till cool.
  • Once cooled add vinegar to the beetroots.
  • Take a glass bottle/jar and add the slit onions and green chilies to it.
  • Now, add the beetroot mixture.
  • Close the bottle /jar and let it sit in the refrigerator for 24 hours and can be consumed after that.
