Ingredients:
- 6 boiled and mashed Potatoes (400 grams)
- 1 green chili chopped
- 1 small onion chopped
- 1/4 Cup Boiled peas
- 2 tbsp oil for cooking masala
- Salt as per taste
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp kashmiri red chili powder
- 1 tsp Coriander powder
- 1 tsp chat masala
- 2 tbsp fresh coriander
- 8 bread pieces (White/Brown/Whole wheat)
- Oil for frying
Method:
- Making the potato stuffing:
- Heat oil in a pan and add chopped chillies and onions to it.
- Saute till the onions are cooked.
- Now add the peas and saute.add the turmeric powder, kashmiri red chili powder, coriander powder and salt.
- Mix well and saute for a minute.
- Add Chat masala.
- Now add the boiled and mashed potatoes.
- Mix well and add the chopped coriander.
- Potato stuffing is ready.
- Assembling Bread Roll:
- Cut the side crusts of the bread.
- Take some water in a plate and dip the slice for a second or two so that the bread absorbs water and becomes soft.
- Make sure the bread does not turn soggy.
- Press it between your hands to remove excess water
- Now place some bread stuffing on one side of the bread and gently roll the edges to seal the stuffing between the rolls.
- Make sure to seal well otherwise the potato stuffing will leak out in the oil.
- Heat oil for frying and when it is medium hot add the bread roll one by one giving them some space to cook.
- Drain the bread rolls on a colander to maintain crispness. Later can be transferred to kitchen tissue.
