Ingredients:
- 2 Tbsp ghee
- 1 cup milk powder (approx 100 grams)
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 tbsp Cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp warm milk for cocoa blooming
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup powdered sugar (can be adjusted as per taste)
- 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
- Pistachios as required
Method:
- Heat a pan and add ghee to it.
- Add milk and stir.
- Now add the milk powder in batches stirring continuously to avoid any lumps.
- Now take warm milk in a bowl and add the cocoa powder to it and mix to form a paste.
- Blooming the cocoa powder gives a strong chocolate flavor to the peda's.
- Add the chocolate paste to the milk powder mixture and stir.
- Add Sugar and stir.
- After stirring for almost 10 minutes the mixture starts leaving the sides of the pan becomes like a lump.
- Add the cardamom powder and mix.
- Turn off the flame and take the mixture out in a greased bowl.
- Let it cool little.
- When its still warn to touch, grease palms with ghee and pinch out the mixture and make small ball and flatten it using your palm.
- Give it a shape of peda by pressing your thumb in between.
- Place a pistachio in the center and press gently.
- Your instant Chocolate milk peda's are ready to be served.
