Vegetable Uttapam

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups idli/dosa batter
  • 1 bowl Sambhar
  • 1 medium onion finely chopped
  • 1/2 medium capsicum finely chopped
  • 1 small tomato finely chopped
  • 1 Green chili finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp coriander finely chopped

Method:

  • Heat a dosa tava/pan and apply little oil/butter on it and spread using halved onion. This gives a nice flavour to the uttapam.
  • Now using a ladle pour the uttapam batter and spread it keeping in mind that it should be thick as compared to a dosa.
  • Now take all the veggies little by little and sprinkle on the uttapam batter.
  • Press gently with the spatula.
  • Drizzle oil/butter around the edges and cover the pan for 2-3 minutes.
  • Gently flip the uttapam using a spatula.
  • Let the veggies cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Transfer to a serving plate.
